Hi guys

I'm looking for a dishwasher, no experience with them really so I'm hoping for some pointers.

I'm sure I read on here once before about brands to go for and ones to avoid but I can't find it now...there was something about an insurance assessor saying that Miele dishwashers being more likely to flood than others...?

It's probably going to have to be a thin dishwaster - 20" wide or so, unless the kitchen is really jigged about so I would appreciate any recommendations you may have on brands etc.

Thanks!

Thanks for the speedy posts guys, appreciated!

Miele looking good so far...any other comments from anyone?

Can't you get one that makes sandwiches and cooks aswell.

I've already got one of those, it has a washing setting as well! Unfortunately it keeps making an irritating winging noise every time I try that setting so I was hoping to get something a bit specialist that may not have that fault.

Miele.

Dimple will be along shortly as he has keyword alerts which send him emails : 'my band', 'dishwasher', and 'hoovers'.

Just had an alert come up.

I don't know anything about dishwashers but I would stay away from anything made by the Merloni Company (Indesit, Ariston, Creda & Hotpoint).
That is all.

I got the slimline integrated Bosch one last year. It cleans very well at the 60 degree setting, I wasn't as impressed with the economy setting.

Sadly it has no delay timer, and it takes just over 2 hours, so it can be a touch inconvenient for me that way.

Other than that I'm happy.

i just bought a Hotpoint one, A+ rating at £300..

to me it seemed the best for the money, ive also got a hotpoint fridge freezer and washer and they've been great

We've always bought bosch ones and they have been good. The old one had a digital panel and pushy buttons which ****** up though. The new one is one of the basic classix ones and you just turn the knob to choose a setting. Been fine for a few years now.

Bosch fridge has been perfect too....the hoover washing machine is **** and been repaired so many times :@
