mine came from the days of napster and winmx.
you had to have a name on them and i couldn't think of one,when ever my friend see me on napster i had a different name and one day he said "you should call yourself schizo because you cant make up your mind what name to use"
that was a long long time ago and the name has stuck.

I did Physics at the University of Hull and this was the name of the Physics football team. I liked it so much I used it for this.

Back in the old Team Fortress days (the Quake mod not the Half life remake) I used to call myself Supersonic however one day I managed to put down a one off in the zone godlike performance pretty much single handedly winning a ranked match for my clan to which the clan leader commented "damn your not just super sonic your uber sonic" so it stuck lol.
The funny thing is that uber sonic actually means super sonic (or the closest interpretation to it) in German. He didn't mean it that way though because in those days uber was used as internet speak for what the term "epic" now means.

From Stargate SG-1, decided to use it as my online gaming name in 2000-2001 as I couldn't think of anything else at the time. It stuck. Unfortunately I had some issues with the apostrophe that should be in the name on some forums so leave it off and some games don't allow it either, which is a shame.

Wraith rhymes with Nath. Actually locky on here called it me when I was working in OcuK tech. It has stuck ever since.

When I signed up for the 2nd time (after the big nuke) I had qualified as a skydiver - and couldn't think of anything more original. It's the only place I use this nickname, as I don't do much online stuff other than FB and this forum.

I haven't got time to use other forums, I seldom have time to use this one as much as I used to - hence why I stepped down.
I do a lot of research and so on, but I don't really post on other forums - I lurk and read a lot. I just don't have the time to contribute to lots of places and I'm not interested in breaking into another forums - the 'net is a resource for me not my life believe it or not!
Mine simply came from a deep seated love (read 'addiction' - hence 'junkie') of Gran Turismo ever since the first time I played it on the original Playstation in 1997.
The username made it to my ebay user account initially so it made sense to sign up with the same name here on OCUK.
