** MSI Z77 & Ivy Bridge Retail **

yup msi forums are pretty dead. absolute waste of time going over there.

i cant get stable at 4.6ghz coming from 1366 setup i have little to no understanding, 4.5ghz is stable.

1.4vcore 4.6ghz

Ouch! Sounds like you haven't got the best clocking chip there, I'm afraid :(

I can't get stable any higher than 4.6GHz with HT enabled (1.295V bios)

I can get 4.8GHz with HT disabled (1.35V bios)

Try disabling HT just to see if you can get any further.

While I got 4.8 stabled with HT-off... I decided to stick with 4.6 and HT on... so your best bet may be to stick with 4.5 :(

I wouldn't go any further than 1.4V on "standard" cooling.

settings i'm using,
Disabled:
Limit CPUID Maximum
EuP 2013
C1E Support
OverSpeed Protection
Spread Spectrum
HPET
XMP

vcore 1.3 to 1.4
x 46
blk 100 - 102 tried
vcroop control auto to 100%(tried them all)

run prime for 1 min then get bsod 0x124, custom watercooling.

Nope - still haven't received a reply to my ticket, on the msi forum or on here :(

Just checked & it's been exactly a month since anyone bothered replying to me :(

For some reason you can't link directly to it... It's just been posted in by someone as unhappy as myself ;-)

It's in the beta bioses section or the one next to it. You have to register to have access, I think.

I've tried every bios since release, currently on the latest - which is the one available on the main website.

I'm not on the comp at the minute - think the code ends 151 (but it's actually version 1.4 or something similar). There's no new beta out yet.

yes please, it's taking a bit long given that the bios is made, just not made to work with q-flash.

i want it to be out before i contact msi about the little problems my board's been having. also this one is supposed to add sensible voltage controls... (i hope)
