Have an iphone 4.

Due an upgrade, seems really pointless currently, never had an 'andriod'.

Is it worth upgrading at this time, love the phone, cant see anything worth having which is a real step forward?

You love the phone you have & the next step up isn't worth the money, Keep what you have.

i upgraded from 4-4s earlier this year, if the new one is amazing i will sell up and buy outright, the 4s will be worth a nice chunk still come october or whenever the new iPhones out

Yeah, pay only seems to be a good idea, I am not an apple fanboy but of all the phones I have had its the best (and I jailbroken it).

I just hope the iphone 5 lives up to expectations now poor Steve is no more :(

As everybody else has said, just stick with the 4. The 4S isn't a worthy upgrade if you already have a 4, though of course if buying new, the 4S is the better choice.

Move onto a SIM only contract, or you could move to giffgaff to save more money.

Thanks for the advice all, btw, what is giffgaff?

Im currently on Vodafone, to be honest I want out, o2 have UK call centres, calling Egypt is terrible, the switch will be well worth it, plus I have o2 Broadband and phone line which has always been top notch for me.

giffgaff is a free network that is far cheaper than its competition due to its lower overheads. It has no call centres, with most of the technical support being provided on their forums or via email.

They are great value for money, though I'm not sure at all what they are like when calling foreign countries. Might not be suitable for you, I'd take a good look.
