Yup im at the magic weekend!
Aus v Nz was a good game, won't say the score in case you manage to catch it but well worth a watch.

Has be played any reserve rugby yet this year?

Re: Blake Green.

He has been fantastic since returning to play for the first team, two tries now and we definately missed him alongside Dobbo.

Dobbo on Super League Supermen on Thursday, along with Paul Cooke, so am looking forwards to that!

What does everyone think to the Leeds proposition for a game with a Union side under hybrid rules. Initial suggestions state that you play league in your own half and union when you cross over into the opposition half.

Wigan certainly knew they'd had a game last night. Fev were outstanding. I can't make the London away SL game this year (my absolute favourite away weekend), so I hope Broncos manage to beat Batley tomorrow and then Wigan draw them away.

people are talking about Fev in SL. The question would be could they back that up week after week on big, dry pitches. They only just managed to beat Swinton last weekend with a VERY dodgy late try.

I think it would be worse for SL if they came into it. Because competetively, the worst club at the moment is Widnes, and you could argue that they have a lot more "bigger" names to their books at the moment. I think they'd struggle, anyone out of the Champ would. Crusaders had their moments though, so I'm sure Widnes will pull through this, just a bit of patience required, 1-2 years at least.

Wigan v Saints in 1/4 final - venue unknown! The word is that Wigan will have to play somewhere else for this one. Latics are at home on Sunday and history suggests that Dave Whelan won't let the rugby play 24h before the football - his rule, it's not an official one. BBC have first pick of the ties and they want the game on Saturday. Have to wait and see what develops here.

I used to love Sts games and looked forward to tem all year. Tbh, I'm sick of the sight of them atm. We play them again at the Magic Weekend in 2 weeks

Game is going ahead but the North stand is shut because a Wedding is on lol, 20% of the seats not being used.

They best not rip the pitch up.

Really disappointing first 25 minutes, left us too much to do in the second half, despite an alright performance in the second half, but I felt Wigan never really got out of 2nd gear. Not great from the Robins, Ryan O'Hara had a good debut.

I thought the 13 had a decent game as well. Dobson always makes a team look dangerous if he can get them to spend time in the other team's 20m.

I agree about the first 25 minutes. Give that many penalties away (although a couple were 'mysterious' ones) and miss a few tackles and you'll be 20+ down to anybody

I rate Welham, but I can't see how he's above Goulding for an England spot. I've been thinking Ryan Hall and Ben Jones-Bishop for England wingers, but Josh Charnley is making a pretty powerful case for a shirt.

I'd take Charnley over Ben Jones Bishop, but I don't see how anyone could take Ryan Hall out. He's a great player. Good defense, good speed and a good finisher. I'm always impressed with Hall.

I'm never going to complain about a CC win over the old enemy, but it was a bit dull. Sts were dreadful. Wigan weren't much better but never looked like losing. By the time the play offs come round and the almost inevitable Wigan v Sts game comes up again, they will have played 12 times in the last 2 seasons. Its not really any surprise that they just cancel each other out.

Simple win against Cas this weekend. Defense was appalling from Castleford, just standing off, one instance they let Welham in at the corner, but then he ran all the way to the the sticks to ground the ball for the try. Not one attempt was made to stop him from Cas players close enough to reach him. It sets us up nicely for the Magic weekend, but I still can't call who will win between Rovers and FC. Head says FC but heart says Rovers. I hate these games.

That's he wonder of having Ian Nilward as coach.

Really looking forward to the weekend. I have tickets for both days. Liver transplant ahoy!

Enjoy! I'll be watching on tv I'm afraid. I am house hunting at the minute so I need to save any extra cash! Out of interest, any of you Wigan'ers got any tips of places to look for houses south of Wigan? I'm thinking Lowton, Culcheth sort of areas? Its a long shot but any advice is welcome. :)

I could tell you lots of places to avoid :) (most notably St Helens)

Latest rumours doing the rounds in Wigan: Jeff Lima to South Sydney for next year and Brett Finch to another unnamed SL club.

Losing Leuluai and Finch all at once is going to leave a pretty big hole
