***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

I usually call 402, is 2432 the customer service advisor ext?

Thanks

Its the number they sent me in a text to call if I wanted their latest deal.

I called it and told the guy I was thinking about moving from payg to a 12 month contract but could get a much better deal with Orange. He said when you are ready to do it, call us back and we will sort you a deal out to match or better Orange.

worth a try for you i think

BTW, the Orange deal I told the o2 guy about was one I haggled for in the Orange shop, its on my daughters phone

Thanks, will try to ring them and see what happens.
Did you get the S3 on a 12 months contract?

Vodafone offered me an upgrade of:

£36 -20% (VEA discount - some new thing they're offering if you or a family member work for a certain company)
So £28.80pm for 24 months (which is £2 more than I'm currently paying!)
600 mins, unlim texts, 1gb data
and then £90 for the 32gb model or free for the 16gb model.

I declined saying I'd wait for release day as I don't want to pay £90 for the phone, I normally manage to upgrade without a charge or an increase in my plan but with the GS3 it seems like that's not going to be possible :(

...am I being unreasonable for not accepting that offer?

Just got a txt message from CPW which read:

"******, we are sorry but due to a technical error you received incorrect information regarding the pickup of your Galaxy SIII. Your Galaxy SIII will be available for collection from Carphone Warehouse in ********** (*************) on Wed 30 May between 4pm and 19:00. We look forward to seeing you then."

Kind of strange since I didn't get any information previously from them about the pickup as they said they'd txt and email me when it would be available once they had confirmation.

Now you're winding me up. I called them and they said it was a mass sms and mine may be available sooner but they won't be able to let me know and he can't say if they will let me know if it's available sooner. WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CARP IS THAT???:confused:

David, due to a technical error, you received incorrect info about the pickup time of your Galaxy SIII. Don't worry; you'll still get it before the official launch! Pop down to Carphone Warehouse in xxxxx on Tues 29 May between the later times of 7pm and 8pm to get your pre-ordered Galaxy SIII.

Posted from my phone :D

Just spoken to orange. Can keep on my panther 30 plan ( 40 minutes, unlimited texts and data) for £24.50 a month and have the phone for £100....

Gonna call them on Sunday which is the 30 day notice period and see if i can get the phone for free with my current contract. Fingers crossed! Might get them down to £50 for the phone though which would be very tempting.

My only reservation is Orange always pack their phones with nonsense!

Works out about £31 a month, cash up front and cash back, so how do you think it compares to £34 a month one plan with 3, £3 a month extra for a massive package and no up front outlay, that difference is subject to shrink as cash back becomes available on the S3.

How did you come to £31? I work it out as just under £26 per month.
