Hiya guys just installed my I5 3570K with stock cooler with a new MSI Z77 board with a 670 however I would really like to overclock the 3570K to about 4.4GHZ, I know this isn't possible on a stock cooler, I brought a A50 from Corsair however quickly realised I don't have threaded holes for screws on the back of my case so I'm looking for a good CPU cooler for a good overclock which just slots in place, thanks :)
 
You would need to use the supplied bracket which the screws go in.

What case are you using as you might have cut which allows you to install without removing the motherboard.

i dont understand? the fan and backing plate dont have anything to do with the case. everything attaches to the mobo.

do you mean a motherboard cut out like this?

im just hoping he isnt lol the bad side of me is hoping he takes a dremel to the back of his case and he ends up cutting the entire cpu section of the motherboard out along with the case cutout. obviously this would be terrible but would make a good thread providing he posts pictures
