Hey,

If any of you guys are playing D3 on a laptop could you let me know what gfx/cpu and fps you are getting?

Am sick of my desktop and the real estate it occupies so fancy a laptop.

Thanks :)

I travel a lot so have a Thinkpad X220. Play the game on that fine in native res of 1366x768. I have to play it on low detail and it doesn't go above 30fps but I've been playing it with mates and low detail is fine.

It runs an i5 with the Intel HD3000 so basically the same as a MacBook Pro 13.

You wouldn't get away with medium detail though!

Not playable on nvidia 8400M , 4 year old sony vaio but does fine on my mac mini [AMD Radeon HD 6630M]. Low graphics though, nothing compared to how it looks on my main machine. Only use it on Mac when I get home from work, can't be asked to sit in front of computer having sat in front of one for 8 hrs.

i play it on an m11x r3 i5.

Can get decent frame rates at full settings and native resolution (30-40), however this rapes my cpu temperatures, (85-90c) without my cooler, so for i generally play it at low settings.

I have a MSI GX740 which has the AMD 5800 series gpu. D3 plays pretty smooth with max settings. The laptop was bought from this very fine company as B-stock discount.

Occasionally play it on my Thinkpad T61p with a 2.5GHz C2D and 8600GT equivalent. It's just about playable at 1280x800 low/medium detail and get 25-30fps generally. If this old thing can run it I'd have thought any modern laptop with dedicated graphics will manage.

I play D3 on my wonderful Samsung 700G7A-S02UK. I play at 1920x1080. Everything is on high settings, with the exception of shadows which I have knocked down one notch. I have it in fullscreen windowed mode though because for some reason when I have it in fullscreen the fps gets nuked.

Otherwise at my settings I've never have any issues always at ~60fps sometimes will drop to 58-59 :p

gfx temps tend to stay around 67-70c which I am happy with. CPU temps norm around 55-65c which again is fine by me.

I play on a MSI GX660R

- old i5
- 6gb ram
- 5870m
- have a 120gb SSD in there

With the res at 1920x1080 or w/e it is, with max graphics (but medium shadows) I get 45 - 60 FPS

Another playing on a laptop here, I play on a Dell XPS 17

i7 Quad-Core, 6Gb Ram, Nvidia GT555m,

Currently I play at 1920x1080, Everything on High (Apart from Shadows which are on Medium) and AA turned on. The game runs fine here also, smooth 95% of the time with the rare slow down which lasts a couple of seconds.

Perfect.

Am thinking of replacing my desktop with a l702x so the dell guys testiments with the 555m is exactly what I was after :)
