Finally after weeks of constant browsing and headaces I am almost ready to hit order for yet my other new build (maybe Friday or over the weekend)

My budget was/is £660 and I wanted a gaming build.

Heres what I came up with:

From overclockers:
Sapphire HD 7850 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail

Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

NZXT Phantom 410 White Case

Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600mhz Vengeance Memory Module

Total: £666 incl delivery

Note: I do not want a aftermarket cooler yet. I will get this in a month time should I need it. I will also be using the CPU at stock clock. I will get 4GB RAM now then upgrade to 8GB next month. I also do not need a HDD or OS.

Is this spec OK? Could you recommend anything if not? Thanks a bunch!:D

i'd go with some low profile memory, rather than the Vengeance as it will make fitting an aftermarket cooler easier.

rest looks fine.

take it you have keyboard, mouse , monitor as well as hard drive (is it sata ?), cd/dvd (sata ?) and o/s ?

Thanks for your reply :)

Yes everything is fine. Hard drive is sata too so no problems there :) I don't really use cds or dvds anymore - but I offered to take my uncles old pc away so I could salvage one from there. OS I also have :) Bought it a few weeks ago.

I will go with your suggestion and will hunt for some Corsair low profile :) Thanks again.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards £179.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £173.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £104.99

1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £41.99
Total : £676.93 (includes shipping : £12.50).

Comes in a lil cheaper than your build....well it would have if you got free delivery like me :(

PSU is modular, IB uses less power than SB so 600W is enough to Xfire the 7850 if you wanted to at some point. I also managed to get 8GB of RAM in too :)

Case is a personal preference but for a midi tower at a good price for lots of features I would be looking at spec something like this....

The topend Z77 mobo adds USB3 support to the front of the Z9 case. RAM and mobo are colour coded together, obviously this is slightly more expensive, so my first spec will probably be more appealing to you.
