Hi, I wondered if anyone had experience of using the Megahalems Rev C with an LGA2011 socket?

Does the cooler come without the fans and mounting brackets - i.e. are they additional extras?

I'm looking at a build for an overclocked (20-30%) 3930K on the Rampage IV Extreme mobo, and want to stick to aircooling if I can. My aircooling options are limited to:

* CM Hyper 412S
* Arctic Freezer i30
* Xigmatek Prime
* Or a custom - I've looked at the Noctua DH-14 and the Megahalems Rev C and both of these outclass all of the above. But the issue is with compatibility for the LGA2011 socket.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Steve

I used a Megahalems on my LGA2011, but due to a space issue I changed to a Armageddon. They both work as good as you can expect unless you go agua.

It does not matter which Prolimatech you get, you must also buy the screws to attach the Prolimatech heatsink....

With these screws the Megahalems will not need a backplate and and fit your LGA2011 perfectly.
