What's with odd wheels on cars? (Actual wheels, not tyres)

It does look like it's intended as "take your pick" from the two sets. Not that anyone is going to give them 10k for a car they can't even be bothered to roll into some decent light to take pictures of.

Isn't that just the spare? Looks like the rear is flat too.

It could well be, it's certainly an odd wheel. I can't understand what possesses the sort of muppet that takes a photo of a top marque vehicle looking like that and then sticks it in an advert thinking "Yeah, that looks fine".
