new HDTV reccomendations please!

I just bought tha Panasonic 42'' GT50 but the 42'' ST50 can be bought for about £850.

Where from? How much di you pay? Are you using the builtin freesat tuner?
Why did you choose it over the st?

From Panasonic Store in Bristol.

Naa using Freeview HD tuner, haven't for freesat.

Current offer is 2 free pairs of 3d glasses worth £100 which is only for the GT series. As this was £1149 ( i think ) it was 'only' £200 more than the ST when you include the glasses ....

And I prefer the look of the GT series

Ok got ya, just wondered, as i was pondering a freesat and for that I'd have to go GT over the ST, or to WT instead fof DT if I go down the LED screen line.

Having seen a an ST50 in action in curries I did like it, but I do worry regarding brightness of room.

How have you found yours, is it used for general day to day tv during the day, or mostly night time, darker evenings in a dark room watching?

Really would like to hear from folks with the LED screens, so I can hear their experiences.

I use my GT50 in the front room, right next to an easterly facing front window, with the TV at degrees to the window and have no problems.

But it was this years GT50, so £1000 +
