I'm getting on the ferry to France on 14th at 1330 the and coming back on the 18th at 2130.

Traveling by train is going to be a pain so I'm hoping I can drive down and park the car up.

Anyone have any suggestions please? I don't mind having to get a short taxi ride once the car is parked up.

I would park somewhere in Southsea where the permit parking stops. You can easily walk across portsmouth if you give yourself an hour to do it.

I hope you don't have a nice car if you're leaving it unattended for a few days in Portsmouth. I'm sure there's a good reason, but why not just take your car to France?

VIP tickets to Le Mans, we're getting chauffeured. :p

We would get the train down but it's 3+ hours on the way back and quite late so thought the car would be a better option.

Yes, but it would cost £40 maybe £50 if they are following the rules strictly (£10 per 24 hours). If the prices were more reasonable I'd do it but I'm not spending that amount to park!

Park in one of the side streets in North End. 5 mins drive away. Any where north of Powerscourt Road and east of Kingston / London Road would be fine.
