Is it possible to setup a US account on Amazon?
I know you can get companies that give you a US shipping address, so would this work?
Would a UK Credit Card work?

I actually want to get something from the digital downloads site which is not available in the UK or to UK account holders.

You can buy things from amazon us, ca, jp etc with your UK credit card and ship to UK address. However some product are only shipped locally.

That's the issue, the downloads are US account and payment only.
Just wondered if there is a way round it?

I used to use a little workaround to use the Amazon appstore and get the free app of the day thing they do, all it required was using a made up address and a made up US credit card. Worked perfectly fine for a while, and obviously would only work for the free app of the day, but a month or two ago they must have changed something because even with a US account, address and credit card it started to say not available outside the US. I'm not sure if there is a more up to date method that works, but that one doesn't any more and I would assume getting a paid purchase is perhaps more complicated.

I downloaded a game called MX VS ATV reflex from amazon US as it was going very cheap. At first it said US customers only. So on somebodies recommendation here I changed my billing and shipping address to a hotel in New York. After I downloaded the game I changed my address back.

If you have a UK account then buy amazon.com vouchers and add them to a different .com account with a US address (pick a hotel or some other business).

Used to have to do this to buy off the US Kindle store but they dont seem to care any more and you can use a UK credit card.

They dont check IP addresses or anything like that.

I've got a UK and a US address on my Amazon account. I signed up for it in the UK, but I also use it in the US. I've not noticed any restrictions, although I've only bought physical products.
