I'm really tempted to take the gamble too but something tells me I'll regret buying the white over the blue...
 
So it looks like the stock issue is for pre orders being placed now as Samsung seem to confirm what play said to me last week, that early pre orders should arrive on time as it's first come first serve and mine was done at the start of the month.

I'm hoping that's the case anyway!
 
My Sister and Newhew have pre-ordered the Blue and White S3's respectively - 2 Free Official Wi-Fi Display Hub's too. Roll on Wednesday.

I'm not sure people really like it, but they find it to be acceptable and not too bad.

I'm looking forward to seeing them next week! I'm pretty fussy about design things.
 
I would have been interested in that, but I'm getting it free anyway so not too much bother :p They list it as in stock for the 29th, I assume that includes pre-orders taking place now as opposed to their webmaster being lazy and not updating stock info!
 
It looks like it requires 2 cables, one for USB power, one for the HDMI just like the current MHL cable (although that doesn't require power for MHL enabled TV sets). My Sharp HDTV should be fine as the USB ports give enough power but I assume most other sets people will have to plug in a mains USB charger for it too.

Still, convenient thing to have when visiting friends/family and even at events that you're a part of, imagine beaming live video at a wedding or something else.

Many cool uses come to mind.

Its ok tbh, i didnt find it all that off putting when i had it in my hands. Personally i think it looks better than the white but its a shame that they didnt just do a black and white model but honestly the colour didnt put me off that much. Even the missus liked it and said it was quite nice, might get her one as her contract is up for renewal but i think its going to be too big for her tiny manicured hands:p

I'll have another good play when they arrive - see if that changes my mind. But what I really want is the black version; and with my S2 still epic - I may just wait a while.

Apart from the silver bezel (which gives it a more girly look) they look identical. The white on the S3 is more of a pearly white though, which looks better.

As a design feature, the one piece entire back of the S3 is better anyway, scratch a corner on the back? Replace the cover, looks like new...not so easy on the Focus 2 which is a similar affair on the S2, scratch the bottom speaker lip? Can't replace it unless you buy a new housing and take the phone apart.

I'm well aware of that, but my comments were mainly relating to how much better it looks with a logo at the bottom of the device. It seems more 'balanced' and looks smarter.
