Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I went from perfectly calm and having fun, to wanting to throttle the life out of them in the space of 2 games, all because they are making the same stupid mistake over and over again. Everyone experiences it - On Hardhat they can't stay out of the pipe, Lockdown they can't keep away from the long hallway, Resistance they can't stop running into the middle building through the same damn door every single time

I'm glad someone is getting amazing hit detection I can't even stab someone in a space so confined it's impossible not to when I tested it splitscreen. This player did jump, but it should also of been impossible to escape the aim assist as it was when I tested it. Which I think proves the theory of aim assist fail as one of the many anomalies of the netcode in this game.

They've messed up something with the matchmaking acknowledged it, but not said what it is yet.

It's far from perfect, I was just happy to play 10 games in a row where I wasn't feeling screwed over everytime some idiot comes wobbling around the corner and I instantly drop dead with no red screen.

I've played the game enough with both the terrible weapons and the easy weapons to know when something is and isn't right, but tonight I had a few enjoyable games where I shot people and they died (without them exploding thankfully), even the last 2 games where I was getting annoyed I was still able to get a great score despite nearly having a heart attack :p Unforunately me getting half the teams kills wasn't anywhere near enough to win us the game.
 
The only mode of those worth playing is 3v3, because the other 2 are full of campers who don't move and when you kill them they rage quit, it's boring and the games drag on for the full 10 minutes. And I also can't play 3v3 all the time because I don't always have 2 others to play it with, it's either me and one other person or there are too many of us in the party to play 3v3.

The last few weeks I've either had nobody online wanting to play or the entire party fills up so both times the game type is going to be TDM or Kill Confirmed because I refuse to play 1v1 or 2v2 for the above reasons.

Seriously just imagine a 3v3 with me, cadman and a random that doesn't stop dying, I'd rather play TDM on a bigger map and more people on both teams.
 
If I'm online it's usually 5pm onwards, I looked on MSN earlier but nobody was around so it ended up being me and Cadman and people were renevating his bumhole and getting ready to move in by the sounds of it, so face off wasn't the best idea.

My experience of 2v2 has really put me off, it's not the gametype/maps fault (they're great), it's the CoD community that ruins it for me.

So they have broke the matchmaking?

I know what you mean alrik, when I played in Wednesday it was awesome exactly like you say people die when they should, however Friday night totally different, insta death left right and centre, I had to turn it off it was that bad.

I'm finding over the last month or so my hit detection has been terrible. Plenty of times i have been face to face with someone and my knife has just gone through them!
 
It sounds like in some circumstances it's getting worse results than before.

It completely screws up my aiming, because sometimes you can aim way off and kill someone.

You ought to look at those in theatre you might find that is exactly where they really are on the server as opposed the guess work that is sometimes on your screen.
 
They know what they're doing IMO. They just don't care. They released a broken game and left it broke. They couldn't even fix the start spawning on fallen where one team starts next to B in domo.

The good thing about treyarch is that they listen to the whole community, not just the under 10s
 
Infinity ward was so small at the time of the fallout compared to Treyarch, but from what I've seen 8/11 from engineering left and in addition to those numbers 4/4 engineering leads left too.

They're trying to fix it for damage limitation and also the next title.

I'm sure this kind of give everyone a chance netcode is coming down from corporate and they've acknowledged that they have to maintain this 'fairness' with any improvements.

It also sounds like the CPU utilisation might be an issue in MW3 so Treyarch have a job on their hands too.
 
That's the problem, no where. The only information you get is tiny scraps from a single thread on their website (the hotfix/patch thread) and you have to read the latest posts serveral times a week just to stay on top of it all or you miss something.

The only reason we are getting these 'fixes' are because of the same people pushing and pushing at them to make changes that the dev deem are already 'balanced'. Dead mans hand for example is being nerf'd to c4 levels thanks to the constant moaning at them telling them it's broken, and if they weren't complaining about it they wouldn't have done a thing.
