Hi everyone !

I recently tried to replay GTA 4 with new mods and textures to provide better game experience. Unfortunately, I don't exceed 18 FPS which is not playable...

I guess it's time to upgrade!
Here is my config :
Monitor : HP 2310i
Case : gygabyte 3d Aurora
PSU : Corsair HX620W
Mobo : Asus M4A79T deluxe
CPU: AMD phenom 2 x4 955 C2 stepping, [email protected]
cpu cooler : OCZ gladiator max
memory : Gskill 4 gig DDR3 12800
graphics : club3D Ati 4890
HDD : crucial ssd 128go + other hard drives

I want to try to OC my cpu a little bit further (I just bought a H100 cooler and a new case the fractal design arc midi)

So that obviously leave me to one choice, change the graphics card. What would you advice me to buy, in order to significantly increase my game experience?

What's your budget? I think an HD 7850 would go great with that setup. Don't really think there's any point getting something more powerful than that.
They also overclock great as it sounds like your into that
 
Actually I would like a card that would be homogenous with my config, that's why I didn't want to put a budget. I don't want to have a too weak one, nor a too powerful one that wouldn't be put to use because my cpu is too weak !

So you would say minimum to see a good improvement would be 7850 ? And maximum ?

Yes I heard that gta4 is very badly coded, but then I guess I will be able to play any game with this new rig !
