I have the error 'Check Park Lights' which has appeared on my dash. - and no o/s parking / sidelights at the front.

I have checked all lights,i.e. bulbs - by swapping right with left - , connectors, fuses etc and they all appear to OK all of my relays seem tight and secure, no obvious signs of chaffing on the wiring etc.

Whilst I have no off side park (side?) light, the headlamps work as normal, as do the tail lights.

I'm usually fairly good at finding gremlins in lighting systems - its quite common with HGV trailers! - yet with this, I'm drawing a blank. :o

Any pointers to said gremlins would be greatly appreciated.

TIA. :)

Corroded contacts or a knackered brake switch ?

The contacts are clean, no sign of anything corrosion wise, not sure what you mean by brake switch though? are they somehow related?

Brake lights work fine btw.....

I don't know much mate I was just messing with a mates with the same prob but his had corroded contacts.
The brake switch should either be on the brake pedal somewhere or it could be under the passenger well.

But bare in mind mate I don't really know what I am talking about.

Got you 100% re: the brake switch,(had to swap one on my old e38) it appears fine though... (although I don't have a replacment to try alas)

I'm wondering if it is a symptom of something else?

Ah well, its giving me something to do instead of sitting in the sun....

I appreciate the help, thanks.
