In about a month i want to pick up a 670 just updated the majority of my system just the gpu to go. I've previously only used Amd, except on a laptop which lasted about 2 months :(, so i wanted to go Nvidia this round and thought you guys would be able to reccommend me a good model

I think the general opinion is that the cooler on the Windforce is superior to the EVGA cards.

Righty ho, guess I'm getting a windforce this weekend then.
Was hoping to get an EVGA, but if the consensus is that the windforce is better, windforce it is haha

I got the EVGA because I found it for a good price - if they are the same price the windforce is the better card, but if it offers a good saving then the EVGA is worth considering - it does have a slightly better heatsink and fan than the other reference cards

my EVGA manages 1201mhz @ 65C @ 65% fan (which is barely audible over my case fans), it will clock higher but then it gets a bit noisy

My Windforce is at ~45-50'C stress tested, Fan is at 50%, GPU @ 1278MHz (+90 overclock), Mem @ 3744MHz (+740 overclock).

Barely audible over my case fans!

edit- it idle's about 28-30'C
