Hi all

I'm looking at getting some headphones for gaming now that cant really set-up my 5.1 speakers properly in my flat....also good when girlfriend is watching TV....

Anyway I was looking at the two below -

Turtle Beach Earforce Z6A 5.1 Analog Surround Sound PC Headset - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-000-TM&groupid=702&catid=1058&subcat=692

Or

Corsair Vengeance 1500 Dolby 7.1 Professional USB Gaming Headset - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-007-CS&groupid=702&catid=1058&subcat=692

The Turtle beach ones have lots of mini speakers to create the 5.1 and a sliter cable so I can keep my current speakers connected to sound card which is a Asus Xonar DX.

The Corsair ones create virtual 7.1 using its own built in sound card and has to larger 50mm Audio drivers. These connect with USB so could still have my normal speakers connected to the sound card.

So what do you think, which are better?

I want ones that are I can just leave connected and pick up when I want and would like the surround sound for gaming....The corsair seem to have better reviews and look better but worried the extra built in sound card may cause hassle when not using and is the virtual surround going to be ok....seems ok in reviews...

I'd get neither. Get some Creative Aurvana Live Headphones (£41) and a clip-on mic like the Speedlink SPES (£7). Save £25, or even pit it towards a soundcard like the Xonar DG (if you do not have a soundcard already).

Much better.

Ok well I do have a Asus Xonar DX sound card....so this would be better and still do virtual 5.1 in games?
