Afternoon

I wasnt entirely sure where to post this, in monitors or graphic cards, so if admin/mod feels it needs to be moved, feel free to do so :p

Basically i was wondering if anyone is running Samsung S23A700D with nvidia. Monitor has built in emitter and also comes with glasses, however i had trouble running 3d with 560ti, i think nvidia doesnt like that monitor

Also used 7970 with this monitor, had no trouble, movies, games, even some pictures, all went well. However, i returned 7970 becouse i am leaning towards 680.

Can anyone shed some light onto this matter, hopefully users with the same monitor and nvidia cards

Cheers

But afaik, Nvidia(:rolleyes:being the kind souls they are:p) have put a block on it with newer drivers.

SBS can be done through Tridef, but using Nvidia, but it is no where near as good as FS imo.

Why not get a 670 and Nvidia 3D kit?

The performance difference between the 670+80 isn't all that much imo.

However I also think the performance difference between a 7970 and 680 flat out isn't going to be noticeable without a fps counter in the corner.

yep, deffo blocked, you can bypass by using older 3d vision driver, but then monitor is not recognized :D

So basically nvidia 3d is better than ati?

I am actually considering giga gtx 670 windforce SLI. Bad idea?

Only downside is i cannot find any benchmarks for 670 sli

No it isn't better. I think it's relatively similar although I can't comment for sure - I've only used nVidia and it's been superb.

Not a bad idea for 670 SLI but there isn't a lot that is going to need that GPU power :)
