What does your other half think about you being on these forums?

Other half? What is this other half you speak of? :p

Even if I did, I wouldn't let another person come between me and this place

Me and these forums have a history.
 
She always rolls her eyes when she sees me on here but she's never complained about the help and advice I've received from these boards.

I've been a member here longer than we've been in a relationship so as far as I'm concerned, you lot were here first! :p
 
My last gf didn't mind, I think :D Don't think she even knew, or if I had told her, she never moaned about it.

My sister (no, she is not my other half, but I still think its kind of relevant) thinks its an utter waste of time. Once I was fixing her laptop, and I told her, you need to browse some PC forums to know how to treat your laptop well. She answered saying something on the lines of 'oh, those forums you visit are such a waste of time. they are useless.' My response was, 'good luck at fixing your laptop'

Mine has the belief that no one knows what to do and if something isn't working it's isntafluffed.

She doesn't seem to mind when I browse the forums in bed when I wake up at the weekend though.
 
My gf loves that we can get a decent answer to most questions on here :)

She has also started saying gooby pls. :o

My ex signed up under the pretense of "I want to try and get involved in things you do too", but really it was a case of wanting to see what I was doing etc.. She hated the idea of me sharing personal details on a random website full of weird people and pervy females (as if I'm some sort of adonis) and actually banned me from posting any pics in the Bodybuilder threads whilst we were together :p

The amazing thing is, another forum we're both members of (which again she signed up because of me) she has now seemingly wildly changed her opinion of sharing details, and now acts all best friend-y with all the people she used to bad mouth about in private :) I suppose that says a lot more about her character than mine though, can't say it bothers me.

So yes, some people do care!
 
Good question.

She has always been a bit funny about it really, particularly when I started going on the meets etc. In the past, I was foolishly quite selfish about it all, making "my thing" and choosing not to involve her which wasn't a good thing. She understandably saw it as something rather sinister. In recent years I have tried to involve her but maybe the damage was already done. That said, although she thinks it's all weird she accepts it and she knows it's something I enjoy.

May advice if you have a partner, don't keep it all a big secret.

I have been asked afew times if i could not buy whatever im buying at that time and spend it on her instead. I give her the excuse along the lines of "Pc was here first" :)

EDIT: She does get stuff but she tries this for some reason :')
