Eric Clapton gets a £3 million Ferrari

I really like that from the front wheel backwards, very retro old-Ferrari looking. Lovely. Not so much of a fan of the front grill in relation to the black underpart - could've gotten away without having the gap there.

Is it just me... or does it look like an MP4-12C with a bit of Audi R8 around the B pillars?

It's not one of their best creations IMO... the 458 is much nicer to look at.

Are you serious? if it wasn't for the Ferrari badge you wouldn't be able to tell who made the 458 unless it was in red, it looks much more like a McLaren/Audi than this

Yeah, I would - the 458 is the most beautiful Ferrari from the last 15 years.

You're blind if you don't think this looks like an MP4-12C... the lines are way too similar. You might want to google what the MP4-12C actually looks like ;)

Just had our lead designer look over my shoulder & he completely agrees with me... it's MPR-8C

Such a shame after what they've been doing with the other recent cars :(

Oh its a nice car don't get me wrong but the isn't much Ferrari about it styling wise. Without the badges or the Ferrari red paint it could easily be a Audi/Lexus/Nobel/McLaren/etc.

Being the best looking Ferrari in 15 years (*cough* Enzo, *cough* F50) isn't really something to shout about considering the way Ferrari styling has been on a downward slope since the 80's.

Oh I do, however I think that's because the MP4 looks like a Ferrari.

Very nice looking 'rarri'...not a huge fan of 'rarri's', more of a lambo fan but i do like that a lot.

Wouldnt say no to a 458 italia as well:p

True - but I genuinely love the look of the 458 - not so much the Enzo.

I do like the F50 too... but it's 17 years old now! (hence me quoting 15... lol)

The FXX is the "daddy" Ferrari now though, in my opinion - I love that thing.

I also like the 599 and it's successor... the California is vomit-inducing.

I slightly disagree, but there are similarities. The MP4 just looks "bland" to me... it's all function and looks like no real thought has been put in to the style. Ferraris don't generally have this same lack of thought in the design department - with the exception of this new one, that just looks bland to me - nothing special about it, whereas the 458 just seems like the perfect blend of form and function.

Ironically that was my exact thought train when I saw the 458, all science no passion imo.

This new one is a homage to the 512BB I posted a pic of on the last page, hence why it has a similar rear/front and generally looks like a streamlined/modernized 512BB, so Blandness is always a risk when basing the design on a 40 year old car. The rear curves probably don't even help aerodynamics much but god they look good.

Well production ended 15 years ago, its close :P

I think it's horrid. I saw it on Youtube about a month ago being driven onto a truck, and I thought it was horrid then too.

They took the best looking Ferrari since the F355 (the 458), and ruined it.

If I were EC, I'd have just added £3M worth of classic Ferraris to my collection instead of that "thing".

When you're rich though - it's not always about what looks the best... it's about exclusivity.

I don't understand it, but then I'm not rich :)

Looking at those photos it does look quite like the MP4. Odd because I find the Macca bland, whereas this is stunning. Ho hum.
