I've been quite tempted to pick up a cheap tablet and a friend of mine offered his touchpad (16gb) for £150. I'd be putting android on it but I wondered if this was worth it?

I'm not sure if it's quite outdated now or still worth picking it up?

If he got it in the 'firesale' then it was £89, so £150 isn't great mates rates :p

But probably worth it, once you get Android on it's a nice device, albeit with not stellar battery life (supposedly better on the nightlies, I'm on an ancient build now), for the £89 I paid it's an utter bargain, for £150 it's not too bad at all :)

Well it's my flatmates Dad who got it from HP directly for £100, he works there.

You say that, but what else would you get for £150, some POS Archos or Chinese branded wafty plastic ****. I think 150 for the touchpad isn't bad if that's your budget.

£150 is a great price for the best tablet at that price range. Or you can pay more for a Playbook with limited apps, or £50 more for a 7" Galaxy Tab 2.

Doesn't matter if it was originally bought for £89, it's worth more than that itself. Good luck trying to buy one at £89 these days!
