24 seems to be the magic number for me for these maps. Just hoping they are big enough to put 24 players on. Was planning on not allowing RPG/M320 on there for obvious reasons so 24 might just work.

There will be no player limit as i mentioned previously. The question is how big will the maps be.

Patrick Bach has said that they will be restricting the players, so no 64 players.

They've not said if they will be restricting it to 16 or not.

Huh. I asked my host and they said

"Spoken to the guys as DICE and while like TDM Close Quarters is targeted at 16 players, I'm pleased to say they have confirmed it will "work" for larger player numbers"

I suppose it may work at 24, 32 at the most maybe? The plot thickens. Guess i can rule 48 players out then. :D
 
when they announced the first details i don't think even DICE knew what was the max player limit they would support

I have a feeling it will be more than 16. But where that limit falls between 16 and 64 is anybodys guess. We'll know in a few weeks time i guess.

the big selling point of the maps of this dlc is the destruction :p

We really need to try out the maps first before making a solid decision on that. With less players you might find the M320 spam less bothersome.
 
probably will play more again with the new dlc but if i get in csgo beta soon thats where ill be majority of time from now on

want the 5v5 greatness of promod cod4 again thats why i still play cod4 regular

bf3 doesnt have this which is a shame . it is fun though :D

I like your 24/7 server chaps but I will be honest, I don't play it as I think you have far too many big maps in rotation. This is contrary to the other people complaining on here. I am not complaining as it is your server. I am just pointing out that not everyone like the big maps, as some others are trying to convince you everyone does. T'is a cracking server though and well managed. :D

I just like Siene / Metro / Bazaar. On hardcore. No jets / choppers / tanks. It's why I stick to the 'BFN Noobs for Carnage' server. :cool:

Close Quarters is going to be mental. :p
