Last minute holidays?

Good Afternoon GD;

The Mrs really wants to go away for the weekend, and I don't think I have much say in the matter, so we're looking for a cheap holiday, leaving either Friday night or Saturday, and coming back either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday...

I've looked at the usual places, and can't really seem to find any bargains. We don't have a budget as such, but I'd like to keep things under £400pp. She loves Ibiza and stuff like there, whereas I'm a metalhead and can't stand the club scene.

Any suggestions (There needs to be lots of heat and Sun) as to where to go and where to book it from?

On a more serious note, Cornwall is always fun, but I'm not sure if that appeals to you!

I thankfully got my ticket in time!

I can agree with the warm beaches, water and sun... but I can't think where would be best. Perhaps south of France?

Just looked on SkyScanner. You can get to Milan and then get a taxi down to Genoa and back for about £200 each. Gives you £200 for accommodation and spending.

At this short notice flights are going to eat a lot of your budget. Also the weather in Genoa isn't that much hotter than England.

Have a look at Dieppe in France. I've been a few times and like it. The ferry is pretty cheap as you can go as a foot passenger and leave your car in Newhaven.

Well, it looks like we've agreed on Amsterdam, as I can get free accommodation at an old high school mate's house... and then she does the "woman thing" and changes her mind...

this is stressing me out... lol
