there is also another article published in 2000 that lists him as 68 so that makes it 1932.

you know that this thread shows in google with the person in questions name, just do a search for his full name (all lower case) followed by the words date of birth. It is the third link down.

Only possibilities from birth registers for FJS seem to be born in December 1932 in Lambeth, mother's maiden name Fisher, or born March 1933 in Norwich, mother's maiden name Mansfield.

It could then be 29/11/1932 assuming that registers reflect the month of registration rather than the month of birth.
