Just finished putting up my new TV stand, and what a difference it makes!

What you guys reckon? The stand weighs an absolute ton, so dont want to move it anytime soon! haha.

Thanks Rammer!
I honestly dont have the space to set the speakers up properly, waiting until we move house, but it is definately in the works!

Your first photo looks just like my set-up: 40" TV perched on a TV stand that's far too small for it, with a load of things squashed together on the shelves below. Really do need to do something about that at some point!

Haha, mine was like that for quite a while, started to become a bit wobbly then, so decided to upgrade - really liked the cantilever stands as you get use of the top shelf, without wall mounting tv! =]

New stand is a Techlink Avatar PTV3 btw for future reference, and I cannot recommend it enough! It is excellent

Does the TV feel solid/safe mounted like that? I've looked at them before and liked them, just never been sure if they'd feel unstable or wobbly.

I have to admit, when I first put the tv on the bracket, I was quite worried, but it isn't going anywhere! Every single component to do with hanging the tv is a strong metal, the supporting pole weighs a ton and the brackets are big huge chunky things too.

This was the reason that I spent a bit more on the stand, was looking at one in currys, but the bracket looked really flimsy!

Could take some photos of the back for you if you wanted?

The stand I have weighs 60kg, amazing how much difference a decent one makes, i love mine. That first one I see a lot, my parents and one of my friends has it

If you wouldn't mind, that'd be great. One from the top or side would be fantastic too, I'm curious to see how far 'back' the TV is positioned on the stand.

Thanks. :)
