Thread disappoints to be honest...

I thought they were going to declare war on something interesting. Not Twitter. If I cared about people declaring war on social media I'd be raging at China rather than Pakistan...

Pakistan - isn't that the country that "hid" Osama Bin Laden all those years then denied all responsibilities when the Americans eventually tracked him down and executed him?

And while it was part of the empire it was considerably more sane, it was the power vacuum that happened when the empire started to give land back that led to the problems.

Zimbabwe for instance was incredibly successful and one of the richest areas in the world under British rule, the empire left and the power vacuum resulted in wackoos in power and one of the fastest falls from wealth into bloodshed and poverty ever seen.

Pakistan didn't exist before Gandhi got his way, it was part of India (and thus part of the British Empire).

Besides if they want to reverse the effects of the 'evil' British Empire, they should stop playing cricket for a start.

Seeing the British Empire as the evil boogey man is the easier lie compared to the inconvenient truth that once they had their way and gained independence (whether through uprising or peaceful returning) things often got much worse without a central and rigid command and political structure.

It almost leads on to a 'what did the British ever do for us' joke.

Probably have done for years if not longer, Afganistan is also something that i find rather pointless, i certainly dont find it the least bit funny that at the rank of colonel, there happen to be taliban/whatever random splinter group/dont care agents involved.

10 years of war, how much longer for the corruption to get to full speed?

I find it disatisfactory that we ousted them only to have them back in power.
