I wonder if they decided to do season 5 as 8 episodes then season 6 as the other 8 episodes, or if this is something new!

Yeah, last 8 episodes as season 6. Pretty sure that Anna Gunn said something similar earlier on in the year two. It's just so AMC can maximize their profits from the show before it ends.
 
Can't wait. Recently watched seasons 1 - 4 for the first time and this is very much my favorite show. :D

Gotta see if I can make it through every previous episode between the end of my exams and the air date in preparation :)
 
Watching S4 for the 3rd time, so I'm ready for 5. No matter how many times you watch it, S4 has just got to be some of the best TV I've ever seen.
 
Can't wait for the next season. I have to say tho that I think the best ever scene from the Breaking Bad series is the Hank Schrader vs The Twins car park scene, without a doubt the most epic action packed thing ever made.
 
Such a good show, its had a couple of slow moments, but overall its been top notch. Kinda glad this will be the last season though...don't want it to be ruined by them trying to push out more than they should.
