Slightly over but a good gaming rig.

You can't OC the i3 cpu but you can the GPU, 7850s are known to get to 1000mhz :) The z77 mobo has lucid MVP which gives a free boost to the GPU too.

Case is a bargain, 4 120mm fans, digital temp display, fan controller and cable management. The PSU is overkill but a bargain on that offer, it's a modular PSU too which is a nice bonus.

You could consider using the developers copy of windows 8 to tide you over. I would do this myself and use the cash saved towards the ivybridge i5 3570K

Hope this helps, any questions or heaven forbid problems come build day, you know where to find us

basically as heavy a graphics machine i can build, no worries over sound as i normally use headphones and a graphics card with sli/crossfire capability to upgrade later, though what card does not have that anymore i don't know.

ideally i'd want to play diabolo 3 on high graphic settings, also things like prototype 2, bf3 and a myriad of rpgs.i have no need of a fancy case, function > form. finally, win7 home premium is fine.

cheers for the help
