2 Refrence Palit 2gb Gtx 670's Or 1 4gb Phantom Gtx 680?

Yea, What I was thinking, I think I'm going to go for the Gtx 670's I mainly Play 1920x1080 and I was thinking of buying a 1440p Monitor Later down the line, do you think the Vram will limit me at all?

no, ram on graphics cards is overrated imo. you definitely don't need a 4gb card

if noise is an issue for you you might want to get a non reference 670 as the reference ones have a pretty strange sound which may be annoying

2GB is not currently a limit for 1440p, in fact even 3 screens are playable with 2GB unless extreme AA is used... a single 680 will be GPU limited before it needs 4GB

given 1080 or even 1440, the 2GB 670 SLI will completely destroy a single 680 4GB

The palit cards do have an annoying noise to the fan. Even on idle.

Hence why I strapped an Antec Kuhler to one. (link in sig)

But defo 2x 670 v a single 680.

There's a thread on OCUK and show the Windforce cards overclock very well... better than the rest. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18403803

Also read the reviews. Nice cards.

whilst this is true, cost/performance wise they are currently overpriced on OCUK... the this week only price of 340 quid was a good one, but at 370 they are over the top for the relatively modest gain in FPS you get, depends how much value you place on quiet and epeen value

I'd say the main reason to get them was the silence. Also a good brand in terms of CS.

And how well they are overclocking. 2 of these in SLi will give you outstanding performance. Yes, £340 would be better and would prolly shift a few more.

Actually, 2x 580 will destroy a 680 :D look here ...

They are still keeping up pretty well! Would probably go with the 3gb cards to future proof. ;)

*edit* After looking at the 580's the Gainward looks to be the best of the bunch. Not bad for £720 when you think about what your getting.
