Diablo 3 worth buying yet with all the problems?

My son mentioned the other day that there are quite a few problems for Diablo 3 right now, so I wanted to ask if it was worth going out and getting this game now or better to wait it out for a bit longer to see how things have progressed?

still a decent game mate, if you can get hold of it at a decent price, go for it.
 
If your son is wanting it, just get it, but if your not in a rush then I would wait. The price wont go down much as its Blizzard, but they still have a lot of downtime at the moment and they have some important upcoming balance and items patches coming up in the near future. What I've done anyway, I'll pick up the game later on when it's more polished.
 
I haven't run into any problems, the game also quickly becomes repetetive and by the time I got to act 2 I'd had enough of the game.

Torchlight 2 beckons!
 
I gave up with it, I was finding that whenever I logged out, it would push me back anything from 10 minutes to half an hour, it was pretty **** having to log in and redo part of what I had done previously.

Blizzard need to sod off with their "constant connection" **** unless you're in multiplayer. It's not working.

It really is. I loved what I played in the last beta weekend. It had better locale variety, better enemy variety, faster, meatier combat, better/more interesting looking loot, and it's a much nicer game to look at.

All that is completely subjective, but I just didn't play 'the best game ever' that Diablo 3 is supposed to be. You didn't even care about the characters you were adventuring with, although the scoundrel was pretty amusing.

There arent really that many problems, servers can get clogged up eventually but thats it now. AH is sorted, (RMAH) on the way.
 
Buy it if you're into games with epic DRM and missing features that were promised many years ago.
 
the artwork is very polished but other than that nothing stands out in my opinion and i would rate it as 'ok' rather than mind blowing / awesome / best thing ever etc.

if you just like the genre then i think torchlight 2 will be just as good if not better.
 
Diablo 3 didn't really improve all that much on D2 but it's still a fun game and I've definitely got my moneys worth. Torchlight 2 is definitely looking like its improved on the first game and I absolutely loved the first one.

Also Torchlight 1 (and I assume 2) has a great modding community :)

Anyway, it's a solid game. Yes it has had issues during the week, but seeing as there haven't been any this weekend yet, it seems like they might have started to finally sort stuff out...

I really enjoyed it for 120 hours.
The only problems that affected my play was some occasional lag during peek hours.
