I don't suppose anyone has any sort of idea as to when these will be hitting the market/if gigabyte even plan to make a 4GB version? Reason being is I kind of want to get triple monitors sometime soon after I actually get my graphics card.

Really? I have little clue on resolutions but at a certain resolution doesn't 2GB of Vram get completely used?

The thing is, GPU power is more important so you run into GPU problems before VRAM problems.

With my 7970's in xfire, I only use around 2gb, any higher and I run into GPU limitations, VRAM isn't a bottleneck and it wasn't with my 2.5gb 570's either

Ah I see. Well basically my plan is to get 1 670 and a monitor this month (I hope) then in september time when I get more student loan probably another monitor. And some time next year another 670 for SLI and the last monitor as well. So that would be alright?

You don't need a 4gb card. Waste of money regardless of resolution, same with the 3gb 580's and all other cards released with higher vram models.

Well it depends really. Im still using a 1GB card that does fine in almost everything but if I wanted to properly mod Skyrim for example the 1GB of Vram would seen be in minus figures so to speak.
