What I also find scary above that, there's one thing bargain hunters, then there's the showing that you're just a cheap skate. Not implying you but, I can't help but read the amount of people that forks over close to £1k for hardware or more... but can't fork over £40 for Premium content.

So you're saying £40 is acceptable that modders could do for free? OK!

I guess ppl don't like the fact EA are throwing out DLC when the main game still isn't 100% and going by EA's prior reputation on fixing stuff thats broke and braking things that aren't it never will be....

Just my 2p

Yes on the EA end, how you get there though is an entirely different story. Please someone step in here and correct me if I am wrong? :)

Just did,

Proxy to Origin India store to get authiticated cookies
Add BF3 premium
Go to checkout log in
Remove proxy
Go to payment
Complete

Only info sent through the proxy is ea log on, which i just changed the password to. No credit info sent through the proxy.

Edit. Would have been happy to pay a reduced price as i allready had B2K, but no discount for Ltd Edition people.

Natwest debit card gave the payment failed message, but Barclaycard credit card worked :o
Leads me to suspect credit cards will work, but debit fail.
Going to leave it for a few days until I login (Waiting for new graphics card anyhows) so as not to show different IPs within a few minutes.

Edit: Safety thoughts-
It's reasonably safe, assuming you're entering the proxy in your internet options, not browsing to it via the browser.
The SSL encryption takes place at either end of the connection meaning that all data sent between your browser and the site is encrypted and cannot be spied on by the proxy server.
The proxy server simply acts as a go-between, and cannot see the data in each individual packet because of the encryption.

It's EA, it's fine to rob them.

Two wrongs don't make a right. How do you know after this strange activity, it doesn't end up causing your account to be looked into and banned, weeks/months from now? While I agree, £40/8 is a bit much for all this DLC and when I say that, I originally bought BF3 Limited Edition from the other orange/white black print website for £32. How does DLC end up costing more than the game itself...

I have complained before about GT5's DLC's. Sure some of the packs have been £3 - £9 dependent on what you want. But there's not been enough DLC to go beyond the full price of the game itself. Some of the DLC was worthless.

I'll probably end up buying this BF3 DLC, I'm just not sure if it'll be a dud like many other DLC's I've bought. It sounded great, hyped and all that then it was a complete bore. Though BF3 may be different... as I really love the game. I just can't get over I'm paying more for the DLC than the game itself. Feels like buying another triple A console game.

Not strictly true. A proxy can act as a middleman and content inspect HTTPS traffic if configured. Rarely is this the case though as it has a rather large performance overhead.

The link provided leads to the an origin 404 error message looks like they have cottened on and I have missed the boat.
