What % of drivers do you let out at junctions?

Is driver a lovely looking woman? If yes let out.

If not the above then I judge how long they might have been there and how long they might have to wait if I don't let them out. Then generally just drive past

as title what % of drivers do you let/not let out at junctions / cross roads etc?

personally i let about 50% out depending on how i feel , i never let bmw drivers out or people that drive exootic cars.

whats about you?

screw you buddy :p

I let out one or two most of the time.

If I'm in traffic and not going anywhere, I'll let most people out.
Unless they're going the same way I am and I'm just about to get onto a nice fast country road.
Also I let buses out a lot which annoys everyone behind me.

It just depends hugely on the situation, really. I endeavour to let one or two people out, but it will vary depending on the prevailing traffic level and what other opportunities they will have. I always try to let someone in a fast car out so I can admire and listen to it.

Definitely. One 'perk' of the S2k was people in exotics seemed to give it the beans more regularly when I let them out in that than any other car.

As someone has already mentions this is completely situational, it depends on traffic, if traffic is running smoothly none, its there place to wait for a space to move out of the junction.
if i'm stuck in traffic and the queue passes a junction i'll most likely let out one car that is going in the same direction as me and, let out anyone crossing my lane to go in the other direction.

as i do for merging lanes, i'll personally allow space for one car to merge in front going on the assumption that the car behind will leave space for one and so on, seems fair to me keeps everything rolling smoothly.

Normally let people out if there's a shedload of traffic behind me, or if its clear that the person may have been waiting there for ages (from knowing what traffic is like). If there's only two cars behind me or something similar, then I won't let them out because they're going to be able to pull out in a second anyway. I also don't let out ignorant drivers who completly fail to take notice of the car with the loud exhaust flashing them out, in which case i just drop the hammer. Same goes to people who don't indicate, or try to force their way out (however the latter is understandable if its a really bad juction for seeing traffic out of; there's several around here and you have to literally get half your car out past the white lines before you can see past the parked cars on either side.)

If it's safe to do so, I usually have no issue letting a car out. It DOES bug me though, when car number two behind that one takes advantage and dashes out as well. One exception: there's a road near me where cars queue to get onto the ring road, and I never let them out. That's because most are cars that have rat-run down a couple of side-streets to avoid the junction at the end of the main road. They can **** off.

Depends on the situation, i.e. how long they may have been waiting, how heavy traffic is, how much of a rush I'm in, and how much of a **** they probably are.

So no german cars, no taxis, and no white vans.

I have started to not bother letting anyone out however, as I'm getting fed up with slowing to a speed which will give them plenty of space to pull out without me having to stop, giving them a flash to indicate my intentions, and then having to stop anyway, when they spend 5 minutes trying to figure out what that stick in the middle of the centre console is and which pedal makes the car go "broom". If you're not going to bother paying attention, why should I inconvenience myself to try and help you?

Less and less nowadays. The number of times I stop and flash someone to go and they sit there despite being flashed again and again, I give up with being polite

I have a 3 idiot rule.

I will let people out constantly aslong as it doesn't disturb traffic coming behind me or in the other direction, until 3 people make an arse of it, take too long to pull out, or pull out without looking at all.

Depends on the road and traffic flow, i won't stop in the road and hold up a line of traffic just to let one person out, that's stupid.

If in a que i will let some people out of junctions, i tend to favour letting attractive women and those who have done well in life out, i avoid letting the old, those who look like poor drivers and the OP pull out since i don't want to be held up.

I especially let BMW and Exotic car drivers out....
