Yeah it's the "if you are selected" that doesn't have me holding my breath for a beta key, I've not had one email through re: the beta either...

I think what they've said so far is PS1 veterans get 'priority access', what exactly that means I guess is open to interpretation as to when you'll get in, but if you have a sony station account with PS1 on it, make sure your email is up to date, sign up for the beta and you should get in at some point.

this game wont last more then 3 months i recon.

it seems as though if it aint "WOW", MMO is dead

It's not an mmorpg is the thing, there's no fetch quests and the usual mmo rubbish that comes with that. Planetside 1 is still going today the second so long as Sony don't ruin it like most of thier previous games will easily last longer than 3 months.

You do know the original Planetside is still running - it's 9 years old.

Have you ever played the original Planetside? I assume you haven't by your above comment. Either that or you're trolling.

Obvious troll is obvious, Planetside is a MMOFPS so you can't compare it to WoW, Swtor, RIFT etc. as they are all MMORPGs.

Do you get a thrill from trolling? Because you seem to spend far more time on these forums saying how all MMO's will fail then you spend actually playing games..

Ps1 has been going for 9 years and we are seeing upto 100 players per empire again during peak times. Really is a credit to the games depth that it has been going this long. New games come and go but the core of players always seem to come back as there is NOTHING out there that plays and feels like planetside does. It's never been perfect but that has never put off players.

Is there anything else required to redeem the pc gamer planetside beta code ?

I noticed the mags in the shops are unsealed and the code is clearly visible, anyone with a phone could easily take a picture of the code and redeem it.
