I'm running water, kill coil and algae. Should probably clean out the algae, but it doesn't seem to be doing much harm. Not as much as the dye in the OP did anyway.

easy enough its more the reassembly due to seals

very easy, can be fiddly getting the seals in the correct position to reassemble sometimes.

cheers, how do you take it apart?, does it pop off with a flat headed screw driver?

I want to drain my loop soon and flush the rads and change the tubing as i've had it set up now for 18months and temps have gone up by 10'c nows..

This kind of thing puts me off watercooling. My h50 might cool no better than me directly blowing on my cpu, but it's zero maintenance.

One on my D-Tek Fuzion blocks looked like that a while back and I had been using Feser One fluid. I was quite surprised how much gunk had accumulated in the block and also how discoloured the tubes were from the fluid. Flushed the loop, disassembled, cleaned the block out and just filled the loop back up with distilled water. Had no issues since and that was a good 6-8 months ago.

Why would you want to do that lol. Did you just use water or did you use a premix? If it was a premix it would already have anti algae in it.
