euro forces and the other one were "booster packs" they cost around £5 and they were the first ever "DLC" i bought. Spec forces was a expansion disk and was over £20 i think.
and you couldnt sell the boosters, they still show up on origin for me.

and could you really sell PC online games? who would buy a game knowing someone else had the CD key?
 
the process of tieing your CD key to an account started with steam and halflife 2.

Prior to that, you tied your CD key to an account, but it never prevented you from then registering that key to another account if you sold the game on.

In the war against second hand games, EA waded in with Origin.

Come Next Gen, with the Xbox720 or whatever, you won't be able to sell any of your games.
 
On the subject of the Xbox 360 platoon

do we think its time to maybe have a clear out of members ? There are some in the platoon who haven't played for 3 months or more.

I'm in the platoon but never see anybody from OCUK playing this game who I have on my friends list.
 
Servers will either use their own map list with their own favourites (Bazaar Metro Seine seems a popular combo) or they will use DICE's own list.

They have two conquest only lists, neither of which have all the maps. They have a separate B2K list which is B2K only.

I can convert the OcUK Guts 'N' Glory server to do it, but it doesnt seem to get any quick match traffic for some reason, despite me setting everything to DICE defaults, even the map list.
 
I wouldnt mind being added :) Im playing a lot more now and just got the add on (well the points for it at least).

Ffs, just got to 96% download on CQC and I hard froze, then it got worse and the Internet went down for 30mins, and when I turned my system on it hadn't saved the progress :mad:
 
Had a quick blast of Gun Master, first round I joined half way through and did pretty average.

Second round started and did quite well......ended up winning which I was chuffed with. Hardest round to pass is the magnum, everything else just mows people down when you walk around looking down the sight :D:D

Best tactic I found was to follow a team mate/s round at the back and pick off their scraps.

Thought it was good fun but would only play to fulfill the assignment. Are any of the other modes vastly different? I am dreading the squad deathmatch assignment as it took me several attempts first time around.
