**French Open, Roland Garros 2012**

Fed vs Nadal, would've been cruel.
Although Nadal is favourite, I actually think Djo has a chance to win the final, simply on the basis that he is the overall best player and is mentally tougher.

Funny how Sharapova manages to hit the ball without grunting during the warm up and then the moment the match starts she's doing it, I don't know how it's not classed as distracting the other player.

Even more ridiculous was when Razzano was serving out the match against Serena Williams and the umpire docked her a point under the interference rule because she let out a yelp (which was much quieter than one of Sharapova's shrieks) after she had chased down a tough ball

In summary, if you're normally a quiet player then you get penalised, but if you're a notorious noise maker then the umpire doesn't do anything.

Beside her annoying screams, she's a champion ! won all 4 big chelems . Great achievment

Yep. And she came back from a serious shoulder problem, which shows determination and perseverance. She could'gve given up and faded, but she kept fighting.

There are only 2 things I dislike about her:
1. the noise
2. the hairy blonde moustache. ;)

And Sharapova doesn't like clay. She called herself a "cow on ice" when playing it :D

If Justine Henin was still playing she would've mopped up this clay season.

Despite thinking Nadal would walk the final earlier I've now changed my mind and am going for a shock result. Nadal to actually lose a set in a 3-1 victory

Edit: The BBC could really do with poaching Courier. His commentary and insight has been superb for the last two weeks imo.

I still say Nadal will win, BUT, Djo will push him.
I think it will be a long match and I'm not expecting 6-1 or 6-2 sets (which is what we have become accustomed to seeing with Nadal).
