hi, really want to go see tim minchin at the eden project. the site says 12pm-11pm. now i assume he isnt on for 11 hours, so does anyone know what happens?
I think it's quite obvious from the link you've provided.
"Tim Minchin plus special guests"
So it's him and other people.
"We’re welcoming comedy back in 2012 with musical comic Tim Minchin, who will be headlining a one-off day of humour at the Sessions."
I read that as he'll probably be introducing a bunch of other acts and then he'll be the final one on with his set.
I went to see Mumford and Sons and the Doves at the Eden Sessions...they certainly weren't on for 11 hours. It started around 6 or 7 iirc with Mumford, then there was a 40-minuteish break, then Doves came on. There were other little side-stages though that possibly started earlier, it was almost like a miniature festival.
Indeed, it's a mini festival type setup. I played on one of the side stages the other summer on one of their big summer gig days, and there was music going on all around the site on various stages throughout the whole day. A lot of it was really rather good, and you've got every chance of getting stuck in a massive entry queue if you leave it to arrive until much later on in the day...
I can't help with your problem, but I went to see Supergrass there in 2004 (it was my first big concert). It was incredible.![]()
ok awesome. are the main acts normally there all day, like doing photos and autographs and stuff, or do they normally arrive just before they go on?
i aint doing owt that day, so will probs aim to get there relativly early and make a day of it, although 11 hours is a long time on your own![]()
12pm-11pm?
I'm confused, the gig doesn't appear to be long enough for one Tim Mitchin song?![]()
11 hours isn't long enough
never been to the Eden Project before, plants don't really interest me. hopefully someone will notice me looking like a loner and talk to me lol
