Made In Chelsea

I personally think this tripe and the only way is essex (also total tripe) is scripted with actors...

But I seem to be alone on this...

Yes, as with 'TOWIE' and 'Geordie Shore'.

Think of it this way, they're to soaps what PCSOs are to the Police Constables.

In the first series of TOWIE, it's "stars" were on minimum wage. Everyone wants to be famous, so it's a cheap way of making a soap without having to actually pay for actors and the like.

That Millie bird is a bit of alright though...but as with TOWIE, Geordie Shore etc, i dont watch such tripe.

It's real as in the sense they do know each other, but it is heavily scripted.

Car crash TV at it's worst.

Speaking of ****....BB...caught a bit of this, and channel 5 seemed to have selected nothing but superficial 'pretty people'.

Well obviously the majority of scenarios are set up.. It's not like there happens to be a camera crew at both ends of a telephone call just when it's being made. People just
'happen to run into each other' on the street, in obscure shops & cafes; this new character just happens to meet this other character and then becomes a permanent fixture etc.
I don't personally think it goes as far as being scripted lines but it will be selectively edited & reshot to get the producers' general themes across.
Generally I still would say it is their real lives even though their lives are somewhat manipulated!

In TOWIE, the representation of Mark & Arge was that of best friends. Now Mark Wright is advertising some cr*p ITV2 show where he goes to Hollywood with his 'entourage' one whom is introduced as his best friend since childhood, yet he was never seen nor mentioned in TOWIE.

The only people in those shows are the ones that agree to it, those that don't want to be part of the circus are effectively 'written out' of the story and the pretense is they don't exist so I don't see how it can be close to these people's real lives.

Can't stand any of these types of shows or the ***** that are featured in them. That Mark Wright guy wears tonnes of make up, including lipstick, whilst trying to promote a "manly" image. The times of men being men are in the decline with all these metrosexual *** programs being released which will undoubtedly influence young people negatively.

How exactly is being metro a negative thing, beyond the fact that you don't personally like it?

As for MIC, Ollie has become my number one most punchable person on telly.
