Am I the only one seriously considering this phone?

But a May release

First it was the Droid 4 because of QWERTY slider. Now that's pretty much out of the picture unless a miracle happens.

RAZR MAXX is honestly a great sell for me because of the battery life but with the May release I might as well wait for the S3 right?

And obviously the reigning king of phone wishlist:

Galaxy S3 - only if it gives a sd expansion slot and (2500 mAh) large battery/removable battery.

If Motorola released the Maxx next week, I would snap it up. But they are making me wait for the S3.

There will be much better phones for the rumoured price I have - trust me, there are much better options for us Europeans.

Motorola's UK base in Basingstoke is already running at peak efficiency, they can't go any faster!

Regardless... if it doesn't have the 4G/LTE/Extra fast gubbins included but still has the 3300mah battery, it's gonna last a very long time. (well.. 2 days ;-) )

Well it seems I am the only one :D

I have to admit, after owning the Milestone I was surprised that I would go with another Motorola device. The locked bootloader was a definite sticking point but I was still able to mod the phone plenty of times. I don't rely on Motorola at all. I rely on XDA.

The way I see it, as long as a phone is as good or better than the Galaxy S2, I'll be happy with the performance for quite a while still. And it is definitely better than the S2 going by the reviews. But I definitely won't be looking to pay £400 for it. More along the £320-£350 range.

The battery is still definitely the biggest draw. Soooo tempting. The S3 better have a 2500+ mAh damn it! (And SD card slot - none of that Nexus and HTC One X nonsense)

About time someone thought about battery life? I say good on Motorola for having a crack at the job. I think if you need support though for your Motorola then it'll turn into a disappointment. I have a Motorola Defy+ and it's a pretty good little phone really ...... apart from the occasional rebooting issue which Motorola seem pretty much uninterested in?

Maybe he should threaten to go on strike & all the muppets who dashed out to buy petrol will be numbskulls again & buy a Motorola incase of a shortage

There's going to be a shortage of Motorola Phones? Damn ... best dump the petrol and join the que at my local generic phone shop

I'm only considering this if the S3 really dissapoints in storage and battery life. £430 is a huge turn off for effectively a mid range phone come May. Was expecting £360 range really.

I'm also hoping the Evo version of the One X will be releasse in Europe as well.

Hm for some reason the original Razr Maxx thread is closed?

Anyway have one of these on the way! It was a reaallly tough call, ideally I wanted to wait and see if the 'Droid HD' would make an appearance but then Verizon decided to totally shake up their plans and had I waited I would have lost my unlimited (by which they mean genuinely unlimited) data which made the upgrade way more appealing :cries:

I agonised and gave some serious, serious thought either to getting the S3, or getting an S3/iPhone4S and selling it brand new on eBay but in then end dayum that battery is just awesome :D - I'm on my feet at work for most of the day and the thought of being able to browse, stream video, stream music in the car to work and back then using it at the gym for music for an hour or so all without even having the slightest regard for battery life or carrying a charger around is just awesome

ICS should be along soon...I hope, plus they are switching on the global feature too which was the only real reason I was considering a 4S as an alternative :p

That's on a contract though I believe, things work a bit differently in America!

Battery life should be quite good. Seems very little interest in the Razr Maxx in the UK?

That's because Motorola don't have a good reputation (or advertise much) in Europe and the phone isn't really all that great aside from the battery.

I'd like to see Motorola really putting their heads together and coming up with something awesome for later in the year. I wonder if they'll be involved in Google's Nexus range when it hits in November?
