Im about to get a S3 and was going to go for three. Just noticed T-Mobile are doing an unlimited data plan for £36 a month with a requirement of £50 upfront.

That's more then three. But servicewise is there any reason to go with t-mobile over three?

I have only ever been with three for mobile broadband but I have always found their service to be excellent. (customer and 3g signal service). Tmobile's 3g signal in my experience isn't quite as reliable, though it is still quite good. I have no personal experience of their customer service however.

Is that tmobile deal without a fair usage policy?

Just spoke to a sales rep through there web chat and she said the internet is without any restrictions at all even during peak times.

Depends of coverage. When I checked T-mobile's coverage where I live and work and the commute, I would have a data signal with 3 far more often. This could be a factor in whcih you choose.

Coverage being equal, I would go with T-mobile as their unlimited data does, atm, seem to be true and they stick to their word.

There's a thread on here about 3 speed limiting excessive user which you might want to read.

Thats interesting. I don't know what they class as excessive usage but i ofter stream and downloads hours of video and music and I have never noticed any throttling personally.

Problem is they are not saying but plenty of people on the web and on here are indeed been throttled between 6pm and 12am. ANd throttled to unusable speeds as well.

According to the bods on @ThreeUKSupport their TrafficSense "trial" is over and there should be no restricting of the highest 5% of users any longer.
Personally I've not seen it either, but I've not even hit 500Mb usage so far!!

lol well some people were doing 15gb a month so doubt you would ever make their top 5% lol

I've used 13GB so far this month with T-Mobile, no complaints and plenty quick. Downloading a 2GB file earlier at 500kbps. :)

T-Mobile are awesome.

I'm pretty sure my T-Mobile internet is capped at ~2mb/s down and 350 kps up which is a bit annoying but I think I've got unlimited download, so far used 2.35 GB since the start of the month as I use Spotify on extreme quality streaming on most work days for a few hours. (Used up 417MB yesterday :o)

Not sure if there is a speed cap on the Full Monty plan though.

No, T mobile Internet is capped at 3.6 Mb down, and 512 Kb up, if you aren't seeing these kind of speeds for your maximums then maybe your phone doesn't support higher speeds.
