Is there such thing as decent ones? I've read a few times that they can be made of chocolate and scratch easily, I fancy the tuner type that are slightly longer and all four need a special key to remove but I'm not sure where to look or how much they are?

My current ones that I received with my wheels have tarnished and look crap and are also a different size to my locking wheel nuts which means I'm carrying two different socket adapters

Are they any good though? I've had a set off them that came with a set of Rota's I bought and although it was a long time ago, over 6 years probably they seemed to come loose quite a lot

Check which type you need, there are 3 types of taper iirc..

Just received a batch of these in.

Titan GT50 50mm extended STEEL open end nuts (60 Degree taper for aftermarket wheels) - very light for steel (48grams)
Black, Blue, Red and 'Petrol' (Neo chrome)

Packaged in 20's with a deep removal socket, which is finished so you dont mark the nuts like you do with a standard socket.

Awesome looking wheel nuts, which wont give the problems that extended lightweight nuts (ahem D1 spec replicas) do.

We test every batch of wheel nuts that we sell, and have tested these nuts to 450nm (the highest our 3/4 drive torque wrench goes - 3+ times standard torque)

I had these on the 5.

expensive though, i imported mine from Japan.

Expensive?? You werent kidding!!

I wanted a nice set for my Capri when it's finished as they will be visible on the new wheels, unlike my mondeo ones which have gone all grotty.

But i can actually buy a whole alloy wheel for the cost of those nuts!

I was always of the impression (may be wrong) that open ended wheel nuts weren't recommended for a daily driver which is open to the elements as water can go in the hole and sit against the bolt and corrode it.

I bought a set of cheap (£20) closed ended red anodised steel nuts from rotawheels. I haven't put them on yet but the red is already coming off from them bashing around in the box they came in. God knows what the socket is going to do to them. :o

I'm interested, need some to make Ad nervous at my awesomeness. Nice to know if they lose their look after a few months too :p

Will do, they should be delivered today/tomorrow and fitted by the end of the week, I just hope they dont tarnish like the last ones did, oh and that they dont look pants which is a possibility :o
