I miss the flapjacks we used to get sometimes. Massive chunky things chewy with golden syrup and topped with chocolate.

I'm hungry now...

Oh yeah, school flapjacks. And chocolate shortbread....

Mmmmmmmm

If you'd read the blog, or possibly even the news article, you'd realise that she asked permission from the school. The school gave her permission and support, and the ban came from the Council, not the school. The MP for the region has tweeted that he intend to try and get the ruling by the local council reversed as well.

Ah, many thanks.

Couldn't read the blog - blocked from work for some reason.

What exactly are they going to do if she keeps taking photographs?

This. If she is smart she will soon realise this is the start of a prosperous career as a lawyer :) Start researching those human rights, pupil handbook and contract law...

how can they ban a kid from taking a pic of their dinner? why would they (the council) care?

can she jsut get someone else to take the pic, or take a short video?

nice bit of free publicity for the girls blog!

Oh dear, looks like that council site is getting hammered, it's taken about 10 mins for my complaint to go through XD

I do love how the page views counter is shooting up XD

Some of those meals look nasty. Reminds me of watching Jamie's School
Dinners, most of those meals were **** as well.

Some of the foreign dinners look much nicer.

Hilarious. Love reading it from her perspective.

The reporter, the new dinner lady with a hairnet - comedy gold.
The meals also looked worse from day 1 than they do now...

Girl from my form at school has her son going to our old school and gets him to bring her a flapjack home most days. I am so jealus

I suppose ironically the fact they are making her stop blogging will probably do more for her cause than ever, as now the council is trying to pull the wool over everybody's eyes over just how poor the food is, what will happen now is quite the opposite.

Where's Jamie Oliver when you need him?

The idiots at the council now need to realise that a local story is going to be national by the end of the day. Highlighting not only how poor school meals are but how draconian government can be. This is now backfiring in their faces and I'm enjoying the show :D
