Affordable Cooler Express Cools CPU @ -48C & 980x OC'D @ 5GHZ at 20C

Priced at $800, I've seen it cooling 980x on idle at -12C but on the website it states it can cool at -48C.

The overclocked tempretures of the 980x at 5ghz speak for themselves.

I dont know if im allowed to link a product to another website but it is frozencpu.

A good alternative for liquid nitrogen for extreme overclockers but obviously not the MOST extremists ?

200W of cooling and how many watts of electricity to run.

Had an Asetek vapochil back in the day and it ATE electricity like there was no tomorrow.
 
I dont see the market for half measures myself if your going for unsustainable you may as well go the whole hog imho.

would be nice to see some dual or quad cpu mobos for gaming pc's (probably are and i dont know) it seems to me that would be a better way to get the results unless all your after is the big numbers.
 
Doesn't look any more affordable or better performing than any of the commercially available or custom phase units which have been available for a number of years.
 
Unit looks ok. 200 watts of cooling is nothing with todays CPU's though you need 320 -350 watts for benching 3930 or 3960X.
 
How does this compare to the likes of a LD phase and chassis solution/LD PC-V2? Really looking at getting one, would be beautiful to play with.
 
I picked up a Prometia GT a month or so back, but its got a cracked tube so needs the CPU line replacing and new Gas.
Looking for someone that can do all this for me at the moment. Then I should be able have some more fun.

How much did it cost you, and is it from UK?

Im looking to buy one aswell but dont know which model to go for yet.

I picked it up buy posting in the wanted section of this forum from someone loaclly - Vapochill and Prometia have not been made new for years so second hand is the only route and most people that have them are glad to be rid as they take up space. But like mine, chances of finding a fully working one are slim. I'm expecting it to cost a fair bit to repair.
 
If i was loaded id snap one up and crank the cpu right up. But the cos to run it is a big no no i guess. Extreme enthusiasts only id guess would go for this.

It does not compare LD are much better both in terms of capacity and temps.
