Someone I don't know has signed for my recorded delivery parcel!

As if I'm that stupid. Just phoned Royal Mail customer services. The Ebay seller sent it to 117 instead of 177. Dipstick! :)

Postman must have signed for it.

Why couldn't someone at 117 have signed for it

As others have said, best course of action is to go to the address it was delivered too.

When somebody answers the door I'd say:

"My parcel has accidentally been delivered here and was signed for by you", or something to that effect. As if you just say something like "Have you had a parcel delivered?" they might play coy. If you are straight away clear that they have it, it will be harder from them to be dishonest if they are that way inclined.

Most of the time when I sign for deliveries I don't get asked if it was for me or check it. Does anyone else?

Unless they are thieves they probably still have it in its packet wondering when someone will turn up to get it..particularly if it has no return address on the back.

unless I was expecting a parcel I would always check if it was for me.

Come think about it I sign on average 3 times a week and never look who it's for.
One came in the week I knew was mine because it had got Halfords on the box.
I have signed for neighbours stuff without knowing but I throw it on the table and Mrs Dimple delivers it.

once i got delivered a lappy from ocuk(i guess as it was with other parts from ocuk) but i did not actually sign for it and gave it back to the driver.. this was ages ago when citylink used to deliver ocuk parcels

Knocked on earlier but there was no reply so I'll try again at 6, if not then next week... for all of you thinking it's some sort of gay thing, well here it is... hardly brimming with homosexual vibes!

I would ask the seller for a refund, as it was their fault the item was delivered to 117 not 177. Also the postman must be ****, as I would have noticed the name on the package doesn't match the mail.

Def looking a bit gay to me, a grown man wanting a poster for above his bed of another man with his "trophy" in his hand whilst wearing an adult sized baby-gro?

Just a side note, you may want to make sure you tear up all your letters etc properly in case someone could go through your rubbish looking for details etc.

Just wanted to come in the thread to say that's gay.

Hope the neighbour has it and apologises but confirms that it's gay.
