Were you a Nineties Gamer?

Done it all now, didn't do great.

Row 1 - Sonic, Shinobi
Row 2 - Streets of Rage, Aladdin, Ristar
Row 3 - Golden Axe, Dynamite Headdy
Row 4 - none
Row 5 - Tetris
Row 6 - Mario Bros (although sounds different from normal?)

Surprised that there weren't any from Final Fantasy 7 or 8, as they were obvious 90s hits.

As you can gather from my answers, I was a Sega Megadrive player :-)

Really? I did not notice.

I was born in 1988 and all the tunes seem to be based around the SNES/Megadrive days rather than the general 1990s. If there were PS1/64 games in there I would do much better.

Still brought back a few memories though of Megadrive games I played!!

yep, its the second cube in at the top :) gave me goosebumps when i heard it.

61 and I'm pretty much done. Started uncovering screenshots of games I don't know and have never played. Looks like it's game over for me! :(

How come the music from these old games is so much better than what we get in games nowadays?

33 and I'm done. I had a Japanese Super Famicom, and a Japanese Mega Drive back then too, so should have done better really.

I'd be better at an 80s one. Especially C64 and Amiga stuff.

I was only JUST a nineties gamer. As in I was born in '86 and got a Sega Mega drive when I was 8 :P Got an Amiga a bit later on though.
Unsurprisingly I only really got the SEGA ones and missed the rest :(

Well got 28 out of 93 without using any hints. :)

It's amazing what the brain retains!

Think I will go over the ones that I didn't know with hints to get my final score in a while.

I still play megadrive and snes games more than anything else.

Mostly SNES though, as games more often had battery-backup than megadrive. And games you can't save tend to get dull very fast.

For example : play megadrive Sonic for a weekend and you'll be bored of sonic. But SNES mario/DKC can keep you coming back to for weeks.

This!

Drunken MarioKart head to head or Battle Mode with friends is still awesome, and the SNES version is the best.

I must have completed Zelda 3 about 7 times now.

Oh, and SOR2 soundtrack is flippin' awesome. :D

Killer Instinct

I had the CD with the whole soundtrack once, I think I got it from a magazine. Some really good tunes!

EDIT: Wow, forgot how awesome Sabrewolf's theme was. Listening to them all now!

EDIT2: LOL at youtube comment: "i wouldve punched my grandma in the face to get in this club"
