Hey guys,

Later on in the year I might go out and get myself a cheap android tablet.

Before forking out £129.99 on something along the lines of a Eken T10 or something similar, I want to find out how they actually perform.

Because I trust you guys and you all seem to know your stuff I would like someone here to tell me whether I should get one.

Thanks

N25.

My cheap Android tab experience comes from a £50 7" Tab. It's a 1.2Ghz A10 CPU with 512MB memory, so same CPU/GPU as all the cheap Tabs.

I am actually quite impressed by it. The speed is very good, all apps load quickly, but does suffer a little bit especially on the Play Store when installing an app as well as doing something else. Not sure if its the lack of memory, lack of dual core CPU or another bottleneck, but leave it to install and its all good. Plays games very well too, has a good GPU for the price.

Theres so many Tabs out there, I've heard good things about Eken so you should be fine. I'd try to make sure you get the 1GB model though. I've heard the Eken A90 is good too.

If you need it like now, then go for it but give it a few months and they'll all be dual core too... Theres already a few out there.

Thank you for your advice!

Could anyone recommend a good value dual core one?

My question exactly.

I have tried the Arnova g2 and Scroll Elite 9.7" 16GB Tablet PC Arnova was much better but trying to get it repaired was a no go scroll elite was just ****.

I have an Ainol Elf Novo and love it, the novo 2 is out this week, £114.99 so ive bought myself one of those and the missus is having the other.

I can happily sit and watch TV on it and it plays games perfectly, so the Elf 2 should be awesome :D

Do you mean the Ainol Novo 7 Elf II with 1GB DDR3 and 8GB flash?

I found it for £95.99 yesterday so seems a good buy but I wasn't sure as the page doesn't mention battery size.

Do you know how big the battery is or how long it would run for playing games or watching video?
